Smart Gallery: Photos & Videos (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a gallery application (“App”) that allows users to view, manage, edit, and set wallpapers from their photos and videos. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the App.By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.


2. Information We Collect

a) Personal Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as name, email, or phone number.

b) Device & Usage Information

App performance data (crash logs, analytics)

Device model, OS version, and app version

Approximate location (for ads personalization if you consent)


c) Media Access

The App requires permission to access your photos, videos, and media files to display them in the gallery.

All media files remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers without your consent.


d) Storage & Wallpaper Permissions

Used to save edited photos, set wallpapers, and manage media folders.

On Android 11 (API 30) and above, the App may request MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access) permission.

This permission is required to provide full gallery functionality, including:

Displaying all photos and videos stored in different folders (including hidden or custom directories).

Allowing you to copy, move, rename, and delete media directly inside the App.

Ensuring the App works as a complete gallery replacement, not limited to standard media folders.

We use this permission strictly for managing your media locally on your device. We do not collect, share, or upload your personal files.


e) Network Permissions

Used to check connectivity and load advertisements (Google AdMob / Ad Manager).

f) Notifications

The App may send notifications (e.g., reminders, tips, or feature updates).

3. How We Use Information

To display and manage your media files locally.

To provide editing and wallpaper features.

To serve personalized or non-personalized ads (based on your choice under GDPR/CCPA).

To improve App performance and fix bugs.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may collect information to improve their services:

Google AdMob / Ad Manager (for ads)

Firebase (for analytics, crash reports, and configuration)

These services may collect advertising identifiers and usage statistics.

5. Consent & Ads (GDPR / CCPA Compliance)

Our App integrates Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and manage user consent for advertising in compliance with GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California).

If you are located in a region where consent is required, you will be shown a consent form before ads are displayed.

You can choose between:

Personalized ads (based on your interests)

Non-personalized ads (based on contextual information only)

Your choice is stored on your device and respected by Google AdMob / Ad Manager.

We do not store your personal photos/videos on our servers.

All media stays securely on your device.

We apply reasonable security measures to protect data handled by third-party services.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App.

8. Your Privacy Choices

You can manage permissions (storage, camera, notifications) in your device settings.

You can opt-out of personalized ads through your Google account settings.

You can review or update your ad consent preferences through the User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form.
